Mike Fine joined Sand Hill Search in 2001. A 16-year veteran of the software industry, Mike understands first-hand the transformational effect that exceptional leadership can have on an organization. Mike translates his experience in leadership, strategy, organizational design and hiring into highly efficient and knowledgeable service to Sand Hill's clients. Mike is dedicated to placing talent in engineering, marketing, sales and business development roles with an emphasis on the executive retained level.

Before joining Sand Hill, Mike held senior management positions within development, operations, product management, product marketing, and professional services at leading high-tech companies including Oracle, Inquisit, Informatica, and Escalate. His broad industry experience extends to application areas including databases, client-server, application development, document/content management, groupware, WWW, e-mail, data warehousing and analytic applications. Mike has built teams for over 12 years, experiencing both traditional growth and hyper growth (from 30 to 300 people in less than a year).

Mike is a member of the California board of advisors for GreatSchools.net, a non-profit organization that provides resources for parents of K-12 students in support of educational excellence. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan and a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Stanford University.
